Every business has a story. This is mine, along with the experiences, lessons and philosophy that continue to shape every project.

Before I Know A Girl became the name of the business, it was something clients naturally said when recommending my work.

“You need someone to help with your brand? I know a girl.

The referrals were always personal. People remembered the person behind the work before they remembered the business name.

That idea became the foundation of I Know A Girl. A studio built on trusted relationships, considered work and the belief that the right creative partner should feel like someone who genuinely understands your business.

Experience From Both Sides of a Business

My perspective has been shaped by more than working on client projects.

Alongside building I Know A Girl, I helped my husband start and grow a manufacturing business from his parents’ backyard. He focused on building the products, while I managed the commercial and creative side of the business.

My responsibilities covered sales, quoting, invoicing, customer care, branding, website design, content creation, social media, paid advertising and marketing.

As the business grew and attracted investment, my role evolved. I helped establish stronger systems, trained the sales and finance teams and transitioned key responsibilities into the business so that it could continue scaling with the right structure in place.

That experience gave me a clear view of how every part of a business connects. Branding, customer service, sales, marketing and digital experiences do not work in isolation. Each one shapes how a customer understands, trusts and engages with a business.

It remains one of the most valuable experiences behind the way I work today.

Every project is personally led from strategy through to creative execution, creating a focused and collaborative experience from start to finish.

While many projects are completed independently, trusted specialist women are brought in where additional expertise adds value.

The best work comes from partnering with business owners who are passionate about what they do, communicate openly and are willing to trust the process. When that happens, the focus shifts beyond the brief to creating work that genuinely supports the business as a whole.
